While the quality of the food has declined in the last few years, and their AC tends to go out for many days in a row in the summer heat, I still come here for the delicious Taharka Brothers ice cream.

Good Ice cream, good service, very reasonable prices.

Nice old fashioned ice cream parlor with a nice outdoor seating area. I especially love the Taharka Brothers ice cream they have here. Be sure to ask them to show you the Taharka Brothers flavors in the very end case by the register.

Nice neighborhood joint for ice cream and sandwiches. Nothing fancy or over the top. Good selection of flavors, cone options, and toppings. Nice outdoor area on the side of the building for leisurely enjoyment.

Great neighborhood ice and luncheonette .. if that's still a thing. UW carries Taharka Bros. Ice cream and it's fabulous and not at all over-priced. Go.

The service and sandwiches are devine. Locals still know this is a great scoop shop minus all the lines. Try 'The Raven' panini for lunch or the Honey Gramm Hot Fudge ice cream sundae if you dare! Eat outside in the zombie free courtyard for an added bonus.

They were so amazing I walked in at 9:59 they were so nice and welcoming it was such a refreshing experience to have , when most staff members stare at you with contempt the truly were happy and meant it . I will be back very pleased charmer sucks !!!

Most amazing ice cream I have ever had. Would recommend if you are going out for a nice sweet treat. By yourself or with kids! Wide variety of flavors. All that are delicious.

Staff were welcoming, came here looking for shrimp salad, but,they didn't sell it so I got chicken said. The sandwich was huge and tasty. I also bought ice cream, it was pretty good!

Okay ice cream and sandwiches. Fair prices overall. Helpful staff. Interior guest seating area could use a deep scrubbing. Given the local competition, they need to up their game

Delightful neighborhood eatery. Delicious food, helpful and patient staff. Generous Icecream scoops. Frequented by all ages, but especially teens after school. Limited seating but you can call for takeout. Glad I discovered this gem on York Rd 4 mins from St. Joe's.

Excellent ice cream. In fair weather, outdoor seating area is great for families with kids. Expat Chicagoans feel at home too. The patio is christened "Wiggly Field."

I called at 9:40pm (20 min from closing) and asked if they could make me a cold cut sub. Ten minutes later I was on my way home with sub in hand. It was amazingly good - overstuffed perfectly - and even came with a side ( I chose coleslaw which was excellent) and also a big dill pickle slice!! I stuffed myself and could only eat half!! I am very impressed and will be returning. This guy really knows how to make a cold cut. Oh, I forgot to mention the beautiful lettuce and tomato and the fact that he knew exactly how much oil and vinegar and spices .... this was one fantastic Italian cold cut!! PS- all for under $10!!!

This small ice cream store offers some incredible breakfast options. Each of us in our party of five ordered something different and everything was made to order, fresh and delicious. When we were done, we topped it off with an ice cream cone. Big win for everyone!

BREAKFAST! Hey locals, UWIG has started service really nice breakfast offerings on the weekends. Wife and kids were very impressed. Reasonable price gets you a coffee, side of fruit, and a generous sized breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, or a couple other offerings. They haven't really publicized this yet, perhaps trying it out first, but it's a nice option within walking distance of Stoneleight, Anneslie, or Rogers Forge.

Ice cream was too cold, and the staff were too nice. Completely unacceptable. The store was smelled too good. Terrible.

Nice little spot to grab a quick bite and ice cream. The cheese steak was good and cheesy and tuna melt was pretty good. The ice cream was homemade and had a large variety of flavors. They have a clean bathroom and good customer service. Great all around spot for ice cream all year long. Definite spring and summer spot. Seats about 12 at a time with table and chairs.

This is my favorite place for sandwiches. The Oriole bird is amazing

Milkshakes are out of this world!!!! Plenty of ice cream flavors. They also have sandwiches as well. Staff very friendly and helpful!!!

Amazing friendly staff. The panini were very good . Lots of good icecream flavors! It was very hot inside which was disappointing. Our ice cream melted quickly . Had hoped to wall into a cool place on such a hot day!

Awesome food! One of my most favorite sandwich shops in this area. I always get their reuben because it is the BEST!! Their lunch box specials are worth every penny! Portion sizes are great!

Ice cream was a little old tasting, but the sandwich, and service was awesome.

Had a meeting in Baltimore on Regester Road and UWIG was the last Restaurant before my meeting location. Was reluctant at first but very pleased. Fast, friendly service and the "Oriole" specialty sandwich was a large portion, reasonable priced and very tasty! Price included two side which made the deal even better. Not in this area offend but if I am, I will definitely visit UWIG.

Excellent ice cream. Flavors change often and they always have great kid-centered flavors. Yesterday I tried their Cookie Monster just because they managed to get the exact shade of blue as the seaseme street character. It was awesome! It does get crowded during summer evenings, but that's expected for a place this good. Check out their patio for a quieter area.
